DPM DISPLACEMENT MONITOR

MONITOR AND SET WELD PARAMETERS TO IMPROVE PART APPEARANCE AND GREATLY MINIMIZE PART DEFORMATION.

DPM DISPLACEMENT MONITOR

The Seiwa DPM Displacement Monitor measures and monitors displacement throughout two stages of the welding process. Measurement and monitoring of proper material alignment prevents welding unless the electrode displacement is within the preset window. The DPM also reports displacement occurring as a result of welding, providing the ability to identify and correlate good welds with known displacement.

Improved control over the welding process Full weld head control including squeeze time, hold time, solenoid valve control and initiation is available when the DPM Displacement Monitor is used with an air actuated weld head. Discrete I/O stops automated machinery or disables welder when set parameters are not met.

Full weld head control

The DPM Displacement Monitor enhances the ability to optimize weld parameters by correlating quality test data to measured displacement. Reduction of scrap, increased productivity and improved cost effectiveness are benefits of the increased control provided by using the DPM Displacement Monitor.

Correlation data is developed by comparing pull or other quality test results with the displacement data obtained. This analysis provides the necessary control to improve efficiency and yield. The ability to adjust the weld parameters using the data makes the DPM Displacement Monitor an asset when precision welding and maximization of the weld process are a necessity.
